The total number of articles hallmarked across the four UK Assay Offices in November 2014 showed a 7.8% decline this month against November 2013. Despite the overall downturn, 9ct gold remained positive showing a growth in the number of units hallmarked of 7%. Overall the number of gold articles (all carat standards) went up by 4%. Silver articles hallmarked went down by 17% with Platinum and Palladium also showing a decline against last year of 7.6% and 23% respectively.
