Hallmarking figures provided by the four UK Assay Offices and compiled by Assay Office Birmingham. The total number of articles hallmarked by the UK Assay Offices in June 2015 was up by 94,023 articles compared to the same month in 2014; an overall increase of 12.3% The total number of gold articles hallmarked were up 15.4%, Silver articles hallmarked were up 10.3% and Platinum up 16.1%. Palladium numbers were down by 23.8%. The hallmarking statistics for the second quarter of 2015 ending 30th June showed an overall growth in total number of articles hallmarked of 8.5%.
